BOTULINUM TOXIN (Botox)
BotoxTM has been used for years to treat muscular problems, including eye deviation, eyelid spasms and facial spasms. Aging is associated with the development of wrinkles and lines on the face. These lines develop as a result of weakened dermal collagen from sun exposure and gravity, or due to facial muscle action on the skin.
DERMAL FILLERS (Restylane®, Perlane® Sculptra)
As we age, our skin loses elasticity and supporting collagen from beneath its surface. Dermal fillers can plump up lines and give a more youthful appearance.
Here a MedAesthetics, we use a non-permanent gel fillers such as Restylane® and Perlane® these are Hyaluronic (HA) Acid Fillers, HA is a natural polysaccharide that exist in all living organisms.
The HA in dermal fillers is biosynthetically produced through bacterial fermentation, making it biocompatible, and there is very little or no risk of transmitting disease. The gel is able to integrate with the adjacent tissues, allowing the passage of oxygen and nutrients. Restylane® is characterized by the fact that it’s a HA molecules are cross linked, effects of a treatment are quite individual depending on age, skin type and muscle activity as well as the injection technique. The HA is absorbed slowly and is replaced with water, when totally absorbed, the HA gel disappears unnoticed from the body.
Sculptra is Polylactic Acid which again is produced by the body. Sculptra is very useful for filling out areas of tissue loss such as the cheeks.
RED VEIN TREATMENTS
We use three methods of treating red veins.
Micro Sclerotherapy which is the injection of a special substance to make leg vessels significantly better. A course of treatment is usually necessary.
VEINWAVETM
VeinwaveTM is a machine that was developed by a UK surgeon specifically for treatment telengactesias without the need for injection treatments. The results on the face are particularly successful, but it can be used on some leg vessels also. Treatment works by delivering a controlled current directly above the vessel, which works by coagulation. The number of sessions depends on the size of the problem vessel, but is normally between 1 and 3.
INTENSE PULSED LIGHT (IPL)
This is a special machine which acts on smaller vessels and rosacea especially useful for the face.
LASER HAIR REMOVAL
The latest technology to permanently reduce facial and body hair. Chromolite technology can be used for both dark and light hair and results can be seen very quickly.
CHROMOLITETM

ChromoliteTM is an intense Pulsed Light System which emits a unique band of light “Smartlite TM” from a hand piece held against your skin.

E-RAZE (Non Laser Tattoo Removal)
Until recently getting an unwanted tattoo removed has been a daunting task, but now there is a revolutionary method of link extraction developed in the USA to remove that tattoo quickly, easily and permanently. The e-raze system works much like having the original tattoo, but instead of ink uses a specially formulated cream that bonds with the original tattoo ink and draws it to the skin surface. The cream doesn’t remain in the skin, or replace the tattoo and the treatment is so effective that a tattoo can usually be completely in just three or four sessions, compared to the dozens of treatment required by laser removal methods.
